Choose your device, watch the video or follow the short steps below.
Windows
Save your profile
Download the .ovpn attachment from the Besthosting email and remember where you saved it.
Install OpenVPN Connect
Download OpenVPN Connect for Windows from the official website. Run the installer and follow the setup wizard.
Get OpenVPN Connect ↗Import the file
Open OpenVPN Connect and drag your .ovpn file into its window, or choose Import Profile → Upload File / File. Confirm with OK / Add.
Connect
Select the imported profile and click Connect. Allow the connection if prompted. Wait for Connected, then open the website or service you need.
Android
Save your profile
Download the .ovpn attachment from the Besthosting email to your device.
Install OpenVPN Connect
In Google Play, find OpenVPN Connect by OpenVPN Inc. Install and open the app.
Get OpenVPN Connect ↗Import the file
Open Import Profile, or go to My Profiles → +. Choose Upload File / File, select your .ovpn file and confirm the import.
Connect
Enable the imported profile and accept the Android VPN connection request. Wait for Connected and check the website or service you need.
iPhone / iPad
Save your profile
Save the .ovpn attachment from the Besthosting email in the Files app. Remember the folder you chose.
Install OpenVPN Connect
In the App Store, find OpenVPN Connect by OpenVPN Inc. Install and open the app.
Get OpenVPN Connect ↗Import the file
In OpenVPN Connect, choose Import Profile → Upload File / File. If needed, open My Profiles → + first. Select your .ovpn file and tap OK / Add.
Connect
Enable the imported profile. When iOS asks to add VPN configurations, tap Allow. Wait for Connected and check the website or service you need.
Ubuntu / Kubuntu
Save your profile
Download the .ovpn attachment from the Besthosting email to your device.
Install the packages
Open Terminal or Konsole and run these commands in order.
sudo apt update sudo apt install openvpn network-manager-openvpnFor Ubuntu with GNOME
Install the settings plugin, then close and reopen Settings. Skip this step on Kubuntu.
sudo apt install network-manager-openvpn-gnomeImport the file
Ubuntu: Settings → Network → VPN → + → Import from file. Kubuntu: System Settings → Connections → + → Import VPN connection. Select your .ovpn file and save the profile.
Connect
Enable the VPN profile in the network settings or network menu. Check that it is active, then open the website or service you need.
Button names may vary with your operating system and app version.
How to disconnect
In OpenVPN Connect, turn off the active profile or choose Disconnect. On Ubuntu or Kubuntu, disable the VPN profile in the network menu.
